Paws to ReadWednesdays, 3:15 – 4:15pm
Come and read your favorite book to Berkeley! She’s at the Los Osos Library on Wednesday afternoons (she is off for the holidays but will resume her duties January 8). School age.

StorytimeThursdays, 10:30 – 11:00am
Stories, dance, and music for toddlers and preschoolers.

Mobile Health Clinicfirst and third Wednesdays of each month, 9:00am – 12:00pm
Reproductive health care provided by CAPSLO’s The Center Mobile Health Care Clinic.

TMHA VanFridays, 1:00 – 2:30pm
Transitions Mental Health Association provide services, referrals, supplies to unhoused individuals.

Wearable Art PartyFriday, January 3, 2:30 – 4:30pm
Unleash your creativity at our monthly art party! Use your imagination to make unique art pieces using beads, paper, pens, pencils, scissors, glue and more. All materials provided – you bring the inspiration!

Let’s Talk! – new program – Wednesday, January 8, 6:00 – 7:30pm
We will watch a TED Talk and follow with discussion. This month: “My Stroke of Insight” by Jill Bolte Taylor. On the morning of December 10, 1996, Dr. Taylor, a brain scientist, experienced a massive stroke. She observed her own mind completely deteriorate. Now she shares her unique perspective on the brain and its capacity for recovery.

Beginning Coding for Kids Friday, January 10, 2:30 – 4:30pm
Hands on coding fun for kids! Come tinker with Cubetto robots, a Let’s Go Code set and a Robot Mouse. For ages 3+.

Pokemon Card Trading – Saturday, January 11, 10 – 11:30am
Do YOU wanna be the very best like no one ever was? Then bring your Pokémon cards to meet, compete, and trade with other collectors your age!

Teens: Learn How to be a Dragon Master! – Saturday, January 11, 2 – 4pm
So you’ve been on a few adventures, but now you want to be the Dungeon Master? Our local DM John will show you how to plan a role-playing voyage filled with monsters, puzzles and teamwork.
Snacks will be provided!
For ages 11-18.

Bears Book ClubTuesday, January 14, 6:00 – 7:30pm
The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery. Drop in. Adults.

Engineering a Fairytale – Friday, January 17, 2:30 – 4:30pm
Engineer a happy ending to your favorite fairy tales! Build a chair even Goldilocks can’t break – Or a bridge for the three billy goats gruff – Or a house strong enough no wolf can blow it down! STEM fun for ages 3+..

Pete Pidgeon Music Education Seminar – Wednesday, January 22, 6:00 – 7:00pm
Pete is a local musician and teacher who will discuss the many positive aspects and importance of music education in our lives, at any age. Learning an instrument at any age can boost our mental and social health. Adults.

NintendoFriday, January 24, 2:30 – 4:30pm
Master your gaming skills and make new friends with our Nintendo Switch! We will provide one Switch for up to 4 players at a time – feel free to bring your own too. Games include Mario Kart, Just Dance and Super Smash Bros. School age, Tween, Teen.

Teen Advisory Board – Saturday, January 25, 3:00 – 4:00pm
Calling all teens! Looking for volunteer or community service hours? Help Librarian Emily run the Teen Advisory Board! Participation can be listed on job, scholarship and college applications. Help plan teen events, create content for social media, create contest ideas, recommend books, movies and more. Tell me what rad stuff you want to see happen! There will be snacks. Ages 13-18.

Lunar New Year – Friday, January 31, 2:30 – 4:30pm
Learn all about the Lunar New Year while making fun holiday crafts! Wear your finest red outfit for good luck! Welcome to the year of the snake.
